Pancake Day, or Shrove Tuesday, is an eagerly anticipated day of the calendar, which allows everyone to indulge one last time before the start of Lent.
Every year, Bankside businesses get a team together and compete with their neighbours in a fast and furious pancake-flipping relay event organised by Better Bankside and held in the world famous Borough Market.
All proceeds this year went towards the nominated charity, Paintings in Hospitals, who use visual art and creative activities to improve the health and wellbeing of patients, carers and the public.
All competiting athletes were also provided with a voucher for a free pancake that were put to good use after an intense but hilarious race.
Our Peer Group team competed in the first race of the day, running and flipping pancakes against 3 other local companies, winning the title of second place in the heat.
Many companies took the situation very seriously and came prepared in sports gear ready for action. Peer Group likes to take the more sophisticated approach and look flipping good whilst running by all competing suited and booted on the day.
