After being delayed for a year due to COVID, the JLL Property Triathlon has finally returned! The Real Estate industry reunited with over 2,500 competitors taking part this year and an outstanding £193,000 was raised for Crisis UK, a charity tackling homelessness in the UK.
This year Jonathan wasn’t alone as nine Peer Group colleagues were up for the challenge. Two teams entered the relay – firstly Lauren and Bridget and secondly Elliott, Chris and Gordon (The 3 Muskepeers). The individuals up for the full race were Jonathan, Paul, Rick and Jordan.
The 3 Muskepeers had given fighting talk in the office for weeks, but could they pull through? Up first we had Elliott who opted for breaststroke and gave Adam Peaty a run for his money. Following on from a great transition Chris was up next on the bike and sped around the 21km track, not bad for an OAP. Gordon completed the last 5km stretch to finish their race.
Lauren and Bridget completed an impressive race despite only having 2 people in their team!
The individuals all got notable times despite a few mishaps. Our JLL triathlon regular, Jonathan Dean, unfortunately suffered a puncture on his first lap on the bike however, managed to acquire another bike and finish in good time! Paul, Rick and Jordan all smashed their races having practiced their open water swimming in the clear waters of Hyde Park in preparation.
Overall, it was a fantastic day out for the competitors and the hardworking spectators!
