Peer Group is very happy to announce the arrival of the beloved dog Gromit to the streets of the St Mary Centre, Thornbury, one of our lovely schemes, as part of Gromit Unleashed 2 Trail consisting of 67 sculptures found all around Bristol. This year we can spot the most northerly Gromit sculpture at St Marys Centre from the 2nd of July to the 2nd of September 2018.

This has followed the success of previous years before, such as the first Gromit Unleashed in 2013 and Shaun the Sheep in 2015. Our Honeysuckle Rose painted sculpture this year is in its second starring role in the award-winning charity’s sculptures trail.

As every year, the aim of this trail is to raise money for the Bristol Children’s Hospital and special baby care unit at St Michaels Hospital, by running fundraisers during this period to gather as much funds as possible. At the end of this trail, after six weeks, all sculptures will be auctioned off to sellers and all the money raised by this will also be going on to support these charities.

This year, Peer Group is very excited to have been given the chance to take part in such a fantastic cause, supporting and sponsoring this cause to raise as much money as possible. This included Alan Cole, our On-Site Care Taker at Thornbury, taking the opportunity to support the installation of this wonderful sculpture. We joined forces with the Thornbury Chamber of Commerce and other partners around the town of Thornbury to help bring this trail to life.

We expect this trail, and especially our sculpture to be able to raise even more money than previous years. Alan has already reported of the amazing success. Gromit has been having with people of all ages!
